For those of you who own a Cricut or have one on your wish list, today’s tip features a function of some Cricut cartridges that is often overlooked. The CARD function cuts your chosen design right into the front panel of your card and cuts the rest of the card shape as well. It’s a fun and unique look!

For my card I used the Cricut Going Places cartridge with the woodgrain side of Bo Bunny’s Roughin’ It “Leaves” patterned paper. I set the Cricut to cut the card at 5.25 inches. Once the entire card was cut out I backed the front panel with the green side of Roughin’ It “Woods” paper. The mostly-solid green of this paper allows the sentiment to be read clearly while still having a subtle pattern. I added a little extra embellishment with a Basic Grey Origins button, Making Memories brown gem flower and Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink Chestnut Roan inking. I also filled in the arrow and exclamation point with American Crafts Chocolate cardstock.
