Hugs, My Friend

Today I’m sharing a card I made for a dear friend who’s facing some challenges. I mixed together products from a Christmas collection, a Valentine collection, and some yummy embellishments to make this special card.
I chose some patterned paper with the word “friend” circled in a word search, then I added another layer of emphasis by using a wood veneer frame. See the woodgrain paper? That’s from a Christmas collection. (Who knew?) I added a little black bling for extra sparkle.
What’s sneaky about this card is that the wordsearch paper and wood veneer embellishment are mounted on the inside of the card! I love making window cards which allow you to play with the 3D nature of some scrapbook products. My friend is definitely a crafty type (that’s a major understatement) so I know she’ll appreciate the products used on this card. More importantly, I hope she feels the love that went into making it just for her.
